French Film Festival

French Film Festival Excursion

On Thursday 28th March Year 8 students watched the film ‘Dilili à Paris’ at Palace Cinema Brighton Bay. When we arrived there, students picked up their snack packs and made their way to cinema 2. Dilili a little girl (originally from New Caledonia) visits Paris during ‘La Belle Époque’. She travels across Paris, visits beautiful monuments and she meets several famous people along the way such as Claude Monet, Louis Pasteur, Marie Curie, Gustave Eiffel and  Henri de Toulouse Lautrec.

Dilili is also UNICEF’s new messenger. In a world where girls are often discriminated against and do not have the same opportunities as boys, Dilili states that girls have a right to education, must be able to flourish freely and in Peace.

Students had an amazing experience and we will continue our discussions in the new term.

Bonne vacances!
