Join us for pizza, gaming, and making friends with similar interests during school term. We run a groups for 10-16 year olds weekdays during school term during after school hours.

The group is run by psychologist Holly and provisional psychologist Sheyan.

We are long time gamers who know how to use the digital world for good. We focus on supporting young people to make connections to others and use games wisely, through group psychological strategies, parent coaching, and child mentoring using games as an engagement tool. The group may suit children who have been resistant or unsuited to traditional 1:1 therapeutic relationships. We have found the group also suits young people who would benefit from getting to know a psychologist in a less formal setting before progressing to 1:1 work when they are ready.

To see if your child is suited to the group, come to a session for free. Groups are limited to 6 children, and other evenings will open up as groups are filled.

Sessions proceed as follows:

Monday Group (10-12 year olds)

5:00pm

Gamers meet in the gaming lounge with Sheyan and commence group games.

Parents can see Holly until 6:00pm for information and support relating to games and gaming behaviour.

6:00-6:30pm

Group discussions focus more on typical gamer or kid/teen issues over a meal (typically pizza). Everyone is given opportunities to share their thoughts and feelings as they become comfortable in the setting and with the group. We encourage everyone to forge friendships with group members outside of the group.

Parents are welcome to relax in our waiting area and family room, or can come back at 6:30pm to pick up their child
