IMPORTANT DETAILS REGARDING COVIDSAFE REQUIREMENTS

The parishes must fully abide by the CovidSafe requirements of the Victorian government. This means, that to apply the 2sq.metre rule for capacity, people must register electronically. There are two ways to do this:

  1. Pre-book by Trybooking. The booking links will be sent to all parishioners for whom we have an e-mail address at the beginning of the week leading up to Christmas. This is the best way to ensure that you have seats at a Christmas Mass. Bookings will close at times that will be nominated in the e-mail. If you have not been receiving the weekly Trybooking links, then we do not have your e-mail. This should be sent to the parish office on balwynnorthkeweast@cam.org.au before 18 December to ensure you are included.
  2. There may be some spare seats at Christmas Masses for people who wish to turn up and see whether there are seats available. N.B. People cannot be admitted if the capacity permitted by government regulation has been filled. If there are seats available, then people will need to use the parishes’ QR Code to register. There is no provision for manual registration. Thus you need to bring a mobile phone to register.
  3. People are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the advertised time of Mass to allow registration processes to be fulfilled and Mass to start on time.
  4. Given the unusual situation under which we are able to celebrate Christmas this year, parishioners are asked to be flexible – if you cannot get seats at the church and time you usually attend, then please consider one of the other churches and times in our affiliated parishes.
  5. Attendees will be required to wear a mask unless they are undertaking a ministerial role which requires them to speak.
  6. If you book for a particular Mass, we may contact you beforehand to ask your assistance in seating and cleaning the church after each Mass. Please be generous in your response so that as many people as possible can celebrate Christmas with us.

Wishing you all a very happy and safe Christmas, and thank you for carefully observing these requirements. They are in place to keep us all safe in our Christmas celebrations.
