Deputy Principals' Report
In this together
It has been awesome to see our community back together again over the past few weeks of school. The students have settled back into school life really well and there is a real positive energy around the school. The highlight of the past few weeks has certainly been watching our new prep students start their primary school journey here at St Finbar's. Well supported by their Year 5 buddies, they have now journeyed out onto the big playground and have begun to interact with the other students in a brilliant way. Special thanks to our Prep teachers, Miss Sigrid Happell & Miss Amy Lafferty for all their support in getting our youngest students used to this new way of life! Thank you to all the prep parents for your support, it is great to see you each morning spending time together.
The next few weeks are very busy, so the well-being of our students and staff will be prioritised. We have Meet the Teacher interviews next week, District Swimming and Year 5 Camp the following week and the Year 3 students have also begun their preparation for Reconciliation.
The Staff will be attending a conference together on March 4th & 5th with a strong focus on well-being, I am sure you would all agree this is of great importance in today's challenging times.
Thank you to the whole community for your support of us during our first few weeks as Deputy Principals at St Finbar's.
