Jnr Swimming Carnival - Senior Sport
Firstly I'd like to thank all who attended on Monday, it was great to see students getting involved in the pool as well as in some great house themed dress ups. We are looking forward to organising some more house events later this term / semester for each individual year level.
Congratultions to all of our students who participated in the pool and in the cheer squads, here are just some worthy mentions -
Year 7 - Sophia (P), Isabelle (P) and Harrison (K) who each won several heats and events. Amy (T) competed in 3 events and year 8 events!
Year 8 - Timothy (P) and Daniel (K) swam each of the four swimming strokes and both won ribbons. Paige (P) and Taya (K) won several ribbons also.
The results from the day are:
1) Pampari - 284
2) Thalera - 233
3) Killara - 204
4) Arakoola - 143
For all students who won on the day or students who have expressed interest in the Beachside District Carnival, I will be in contact with you this week about a quick meeting.
Thank you to everyone who helped out.
Mr Paul Sanders
Cheltenham’s Swimming Carnival was a success for Killara! It was great to see so many students from years 7,8 and 12 dress up and represent the blue house proud. Although Killara was not successful in coming first on the day, seeing so many students participate in the events and cheering on their fellow housemates was amazing to see and be a part of.

What a delightful day we had!
Everyone had their own "Nadal” moment, whether as Skip/Lead/ or just bowling to the right spot. Many had awesome brain fades and put the bias on the wrong side, and found their shot many lanes over - Pretty funny- lots of fun. Lots of success too.
Congratulations to every team, who demonstrated why sport is so awesome.
Friendships and support for their own team, great skills that evolved over the day, and a wonderful link to all students who attended the day from all our surrounding schools.
Everyone was a winner at some point during the day...
Galen nailed the drive to end the end... HIS HIGHLIGHT for the day. Lauren and Olivia, our quiet achievers who knew where to place the right bowl at the right time.
Clarence, who could turn a game from 3 down to one up. Henry who could place a bowl on lanes that we were not playing on- but could also place his bowl in just the right place.
Andy and Sujan who smiled the day away and just got better and better with every bowl.
Aiden was silent and deadly- an intense focus machine.
Yoseph and Daniel continued to work within their teams, and lift when required.
And of course, many thanks to Mr Knox who was washed out at Tennis, but came to be a wonderful supporter for our 10 players and worked tirelessly all day.
But the big surprise- Coggers just couldn’t stay away and came to watch and support our Chelt Bowlers.
Many thanks to the Hampton Bowls Club for organising a perfectly run tournament/ lots of practice/ and lots of laughs.
Then we were locked down…
Heheheheh - Dem had so much fun, and was even paid to be there
Many thanks to my all stars. Don't you just love Lawn Bowls!!
