Meet the Teacher
On the 17th and 18th of February we have our Meet the Teacher afternoons. This is a opportunity to meet your child’s 2021 teacher and get to know each other. Please visit schoolinterviews.com.au and make a booking using our event code: pzbqk
Attendance
Attendance will be a focus this year. Gates and yard supervision starts from 8:30am and school starts at 8:50am. Students arriving after 8:50am will need to sign in late from the front office and collect a late pass. Establishing a good morning routine sets students up for life, it’s an excellent habit for students to take ownership of their morning routine.
Exciting events
There will be some exciting events on the calendar this term. Maths night will be in week 7, this is a fun filled afternoon of maths games for all ages, bring the family along and experience how fun maths really is!
In March, Mr Hanson will be completing a Principal Internship at Edgars Creek Primary School. Working with another leadership team, he will be bringing back some new knowledge and ideas to Roxburgh Park Primary School in the last week of term.
Tutor Learning Initiative
The tutor learning initiative is a government schools incentive to provide students with extra support within schools who may have missed out on leanring in 2020 due to COVID. This will enable our school to deliver targeted teaching support to our students based on the deficits we will be able to identify through our data. Our two Leanring Specialists Mr Rohan Moat and Ms Fiona Briggs will be leading and implementing the Tutor Learning Initiative through a intervention program based on the need our students.
Extra Activities in the Yard
During lunch and recess our staff will be providing extra activities and clubs over the coming weeks for students to participate in to increase engagement and cooperation. Activities such as Drama Club, Sports acitivities, STEM club, Rocket League, Zumba, Mosaic club and Yoga are some of the actitivities that students will be able to participate in on different days.
