Welcome to the Glenore Grove P&C News

Hello families, 

We hope to have a whole year getting to know all our new families and catching up with our existing families. Glenore Grove P&C meet 2 or 3 times a term in the Admin block after school. All school family members are welcome to see what happens behind the scenes!

Last year COVID threw a spanner in fundraising efforts but thanks to the local support P&C still raised $ 7455.80 through cupcake, pizza and raffles this year. Carols in the Grove was a successful event which we hope to recreate this year with raffles, ham wheels and meals. A big thank you to all our families for your constant support.

Fundraising monies supported the junior primary excursion into River Theatre at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, the upper primary school camp at Murphys’ Creek and the year 6 Graduation.

We are currently looking for new committee members as we sadly say goodbye to Mrs Rose Cubis who has resigned after many years as the P&C treasurer. At the AGM all positions will be made vacant, nominations then made for all new and existing members to be voted in.  Our AGM & general meeting will be held on Monday afternoon 8th February 2021 at 3pm in the staffroom.

The wonderful Annie Gough is our Uniform shop convenor who you can find at the uniform shop on Monday & Wednesday mornings from 8:15 to 9am.

Fundraising Term 1

Currently we are raising funds for 

• a shade sail over the grassy square  between the undercover area and office to provide more sun-safe eating and play spaces as the school grows.
• an updated oven in the admin block to enrich STEM experiences.
• new school frontage for safer family access to the school

This terms' fundraising will be 

• Brightview Tavern Friday Dinner Raffles (Dates TBC)
• Harmony Day Cupcake fundraiser March Friday 19 OR Monday 22
• STEM Pizza Day Week 10
• Easter Raffle Week 8-10 Drawn Thursday 1st April

We look forward to the new year where we can see more families at future P&C events. Keep an eye on Class Dojo and FB for when meetings are held. We welcome any new members, donations or contributions to the P&C. 

We are looking for information from parents regarding what suits families best to be part of our P&C this year.
