Variety Show

The Variety Show was an absolute hit! We wish to send a massive thank you to all staff who were involved making this show successful. We also wish to thank the students involved for their hard work, endless energy and positive attitudes throughout the shows and rehearsal process.

Our leaders, Oliver, Shaylyn and Chelsea were fantastic by positively working with the staff and students involved by organizing the backstage room and leading warm-ups. We are proud to share our hard work with you and continue to build the strong performing arts community at Staughton College!!

Reflections from the students:

The Variety Show was exciting because of the rehearsals, getting to know more teachers and students and hair and make-up. Everyone who was a part of the show was always encouraging and supportive. I will definitely be more involved in future school productions. - Ebony 8C

This year’s Variety Show has been outstanding! I enjoyed it very much as it was a show that included singing and dancing. Fantastic talents were demonstrated in the highlight of the night, the finale. The acro performance was spectacular, the band was amazing (probably my favourite act) and the comedy performances would for sure put a smile on your face. Overall, what a wonderful show it was and it was a successful night to be remembered. - Paige B 8C

Being a leading role in the Variety Show really changed my perspective of variety shows in general because of all the team work and co-operation from not only the students, but also the teachers. It really created an artwork in the form of a musical adaptation of the multiple, extremely talented acts the school has to offer. It was an amazing experience and I would gladly do it all over again. - Cassidee 10D

I liked the Variety Show because of all the encouragement. During the rehearsals there was a lot of ‘Good Job’ and cheering and clapping. I felt like I belonged and was included. I would definitely do this next year. - Charlotte 7C

The Variety Show has many highlights. It’s always fun backstage doing hair and make-up, rehearsing, working with everyone involved. Quick costume changes, running off the stage smiling and that’s just what I can think of off the top of my head. The Variety Show is a commitment, with a reward that is worthwhile. - Tasman 7C
