Year 7 vaccinations

The Secondary School Vaccine Program offers free vaccines to Year 7 students.

These vaccines provide protection against:

-Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough) -one dose

-Human Papillomavirus (HPV) -three doses

-Varicella (chicken pox) - one dose

Parents/carers of students enrolled to be in year 7 in 2017 should have received the vaccine consent card booklet sent home in the mail or with their child towards the end of 2016. If you have not done so already, you need to read the booklet and complete and return Part A regardless of whether your child is being vaccinated at school. Please advise the school if you have not received the vaccine consent card booklet so that arrangements can be made to have it sent home with your child.

The Banyule City Council immunisation service may contact you about the Secondary School Vaccine Program. Schools are authorised to provide basic parent/guardian contact details to local councils for this purpose. Please contact the school by 28 February 2017 if you do not want your contact details given to the Banyule City Council immunisation service.

Influenza Vaccinations

Consent forms for the Influenza vaccination have been sent home with all students on Friday, 10th February. Please complete the form, sign and date it, and return it to school by Friday, 24th February. It is important to send this form back to confirm consent or non-consent.
