Community & Communications

What a wonderful start to the 2017 school year it has been. It has been pleasing to walk through the school and see class groups forming their relationships through a range of fun team work activities.  Additionally it was great to welcome back families and welcome new families to the school community at our Meet the Teacher Night this week, even though it was a very warm one!

On Friday 17 February we look forward to meeting and welcoming many new faces to Concord School at the Watsonia Campus welcome BBQ.

Compass

Parents and carers should have received their log in details and some general information about  Compass by now.  If you haven’t, please request this through the front office and we will arrange this for you.

As I have highlighted on all of the Compass documentation, Compass will be our main online communication tool which will evolve over time as we introduce more functions.

Currently you can view your child’s attendance record, record your child’s absences, access excursion forms, access school documents, and email staff.  I will be facilitating a couple of Compass workshops to help you with logging in and navigating around the online communication tool.

These workshops will be held on; Wednesday 22nd February at 6.30pm at the Bundoora Campus and on Thursday 23rd February at 9.15am at the Watsonia Campus.  There will be computers and iPads at school for you to use, alternatively please bring your own phone or iPad (please install the Compass app first).

Please inform the front office at the Bundoora Campus if you would like to attend one of the sessions so we can cater for the correct number of attendees.
