CSC Artist in Residence

The CSC Art Support Group has appointed an Artist in Residence -  Debra Goldsmith.

Debra is a very well know artist and will be working from a studio on the Etty St Campus. We look forward to watching Debra create the amazing new works of recycled light installations and sharing her vast knowledge of the arts at the college.

REQUEST FOR ITEMS

I am looking for  plastic bottles (drink, PET) could be collected and in particular (but not exclusively) blues, greens and any other, non clear colours are very much appreciated, that would be great. Mountain Dew bottles and the extremely rare red plastic bottles (I have one!!) are my holy grail of plastic bottles!! A collection bin is near the office on Blakeley Rd Campus.

State Cross Country Finals

Congratulations to Jemma Cole for making it through to the state Cross Country finals in the 16 Years Female Section. Jemma made it through Sandhurst and Loddon Mallee finals before progressing on to State finals. She tried her best and ran the three hilly kilometres in Bundoora, beating her previous personal best by a minute. Jemma come 73rd out of over a 100 competitors. We are very proud of Jemma’s efforts!

Year 7 boys

Today we had school basketball. It was fun and there were lots of highlights but firstly I would like to mention the players of the team. Archie, Brodie, Tate, Callam, Lukas and I. Our coaches were Michael and Zac. Archie and Brodie were probably the best players. The game we lost against crusoe, the second game we won against Victory, the third game we won against Girton, we lost the fourth game against CMC. We only lost the fourth because they had a six foot six year 7 but we thought he was a year 10 because he had a moustache. We had so much fun. After that we got on the bus and went back to school and from there we went home. That is how our basketball day went.

Year 8 boys

Today we had school basketball. We played four games, winning three and losing one. We bet Crusoe by 20 points, Victory by 49 points and CMC by 1 point thanks to Finn with the clutch shot at the end. Our loss was to Girton by 3 points. Everybody liked the day. In the squad we had Finn, Tony, Noah, Theo, Remi, Josiah and I. Blake was our coach.

Year 7/8 girls

We played against CMC, we were up at half time by a point and ended up losing by 8 points. We then versed Crusoe. We played so good as a team and won by 10. We then played Victory and won. The scores were 2-50. We then played Girton and lost by 14. It was a good game though. Alisha got an amazing 3 pointer and everyone was shocked. Thanks Paul for coaching, and Miss Walsh for coaching. Good job Paige, Ciara, Emma, Lekeisha, Marni, Issy and Matilda. You all played amazing.
