2019 Great Victorian Bike Ride

2019 Great Victorian Bike Ride

We're back and we survived! The students had a wonderful experience, learning so much and overcoming challenges they never dreamed they could take on. In riding over 650 km, they developed their physical fitness (obviously) as well as grit and determination, solidarity, teamwork, courage and resourcefulness.

Thank you all for your support and kind words. I've attached a few photos to give you an idea of what we have been up to. (Note: I took photos when it wasn't raining, so they tell only half the story)

The photos of us wearing dresses either riding or collecting money are thanks to Katinka's fundraising efforts - she "Did it in a Dress" (i.e. rode most of the 650km) for the charity One Girl, supporting the education of young North African girls to help break the cycle of poverty.
