Zart Art exhibition

Koonung Secondary College was privileged to be invited to exhibit at the Zart Art Young Artists exhibition and attend the opening on  Thursday 12 December.

It was great to see our students' work  exhibited. The selected works (from Mrs Russell's  8B and Ms Sens'  8D  VCD class) showcased the students skill and original design, One Point perspective street scenes.

Ms Briffa’s 7G  Art students exhibited their Still Life canvas paintings which provided the guests with a splash of vibrancy and colour.

Students were encouraged to present to the audience explaining how their work was created and Holly MacFarlane and Lola Dobie (8B) gave us an insight in how she completed her One Point Perspective, she was supported by Lola Dobie.

Thank you to the students and parents who attended this exhibition.

The exhibition is on until 14 March 2020 and is certainly worth a visit.

Last Thursday, we were lucky enough to be invited to ‘Zart Art’ exhibition down in box hill to present our one perspective artworks. It was a great afternoon with a range of year level’s present to talk about the background of their artworks and the steps it took to create such masterpieces from warm paintings of certain famous monuments to paper mache donuts. It was great seeing so many other young artists at such a young age being able to get up and speak in front of a large crowd. One girl came all the way down from Adelaide to talk about her schools coloured creatures made with old mechanical pieces and tins. It was a very well-set up area with a room to draw and relax, afternoon tea and a wonderful display of both primary school and high school artworks. Overall It was a very enjoyable afternoon and we had a lot of fun talking to both parents, teachers and students from a range of different school and answering any questions they had towards our artwork.
