Jesus Is The Reason For The Season! Rejoice!

We celebrated our Christmas Services last week and students were reminded that Christmas is about celebrating the birth of the Christ child, Jesus. Christmas is a season of great joy where God shows his great love for us. The shepherds, wise men and angels we are told all shared in the excitement of the great event that occurred in Bethlehem more than 2000 years ago. The prophets were even told of His coming, Why did God send His son to be born and grow up and then die on the Cross? He sent Jesus to show us that He is the way, the truth and the light. So in this season of joy, peace, love and hope we can know that we are His children.

Awards

At Presentation Night the following students were presented with Academic Colour and Encouragement Awards. A number of senior students received College Colours for outstanding and sustained contributions in the Academic, Cultural, Service, Sport and House categories. We congratulate them.

At the final Assemblies, the following students were presented with Colour Awards and Subject Awards recognising their hard work and effort in a broad range of areas.

Staffing

Staffing for 2019 is coming together well as we shape a professional and energetic team of staff for next year. Details of staff departures are listed below:

The following staff are retiring: Mrs Christine Hutchinson, Mr Joel McKay, Mr Peter Moulder, Mr Mark Grech and Mr Ross McPhie and we wish them well in their next phase and thank them for the significant contributions they have made to the life of the College.

The following staff are moving on to new experiences:  Miss Jane Heasly, Mr Mike Arthur, Ms Sarah Dennis, Mr Alistair Shaw, Mr Cameron McGregor and Ms Karen McArdle. We thank them for their contributions.  Miss Jane Heasly along with Ms Alicia Hewes were presented with a 15 year service badge in recognition of their time here at the College

Miss Madelene Meyer, Mr Tristan Kostraby, Ms Joanne Lanagan, Mrs Jihan Hogan and Miss Claire Colthup have completed their contract replacement positions and we wish them well for the future.  

Ms Alicia Hewes and Miss Madeleine McAllister are taking a 12 month leave of absence. Whilst Mr Jason Mackrell, Mrs Helen Buhagiar and Mrs Nicole Gilbert will be on Long Service Leave during Term 1.
