Shepparton Education Plan

Shepparton Education Plan Workshop
On Friday the 16th February, four students and a selection of staff from each of the Alliance Secondary Schools were invited to participate in a workshop discussion forum regarding the Shepparton Education Plan. The participants from McGuire College were Kade Hardy, Amy Lyle, Madison Newey, Joel Miller, Mr Verbeek, Mr Sharpe, Mrs Michalaidis and Mr Moyle.
Mary Jean Gallagher an education specialist from Canada ran some stimulating workshop activities to allow us opportunities to provide feedback on the Shepparton Education Plan and what we want our super school to look and feel like. We were all engaged in providing feedback and Mary Jean prompted and motivated our thinking with her inspiring stories.
We all got to share our thoughts and ideas with the group about what would make an exceptional super school. Students from our school provided valuable feedback around the teaching and learning and culture of the super school we want.
I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to participate because it allowed me to voice my opinion on how the school should look.
I encourage all students to get involved in having their say about the super school as it is a wonderful experience and essentially the school will be for us.
