TEXT BOOK HIRE CHANGES

Text Book Hire changing to Purchase Your Own Texts in 2019

In the past, St Andrews Christian College has had a Text Book Hire System where the College has purchased all texts for students from Year 7 - 10 and a levy was charged to your account for the use of these texts. Over much discussion, St Andrews Christian College have decided that it is time to move away from this system.

We wish to inform you that all students from Years 7-12 starting next year (2019), will be asked to purchase their own Text Books. Please note that in light of this, the text book hire levy will be removed from your school fees. Please do not be alarmed with this information as for the most part, second hand books will be available for purchase through the College at a much reduced rate.

More information about this change, together with a list of available second hand Texts and your 2019 Booklist will be distributed to each family shortly.

Any further enquiries regarding these changes can be sent to Mrs Ottosson in the office atdottosson@standrews.vic.edu.au

BLESSINGS TO ALL OUR YEAR 12 STUDENTS

As I am returning from a wonderful mission trip in Romania I'd like to acknowledge our Year 12 students as they finish their thirteen years of schooling this week. We pray that they will be equipped to cope in this changing world.  That they can critically evaluate what truth really is and not seek to conform to the world, but celebrate who they are and who they are becoming in Christ.

All the best, Year 12 students!  Know you are more than your VCE marks and know that in God, you can do immeasurably more than you could ever imagine.

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us…”   Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

BUNNINGS BBQ AND CAKE STALL FUNDRAISER

Thank you to all the parents and students who cooked baked items for the Mission Trip Fundraiser cake stall.

Despite the rainy morning, sausage sales were steady and most of the baking was gone by the end of the day.

Thank you also to the following people for volunteering on the stalls on Saturday;

Andrew, Hannah & Lydia

Maureen & Amy

Mardi

Melanie & Josef

John & Tom

John & Clare

Natalie & Caitlyn

Celica, Natasha & Adrian

We were able to raise a total of over $1600 which will assist students on the Cambodia Mission Trip to learn more about how aid and development can be done in a sustainable and Biblical way.

Many thanks

Trish Collis

All packed ready to set up Cake Stall
Despite the wet weather the BBQ was still popular.
Through the generosity of school families and St Stephens Presbyterian Church we were overflowing with delicious baked goods.
