Year 7 Numeracy Classes

This week Mr Box and Mr Phillips kindly allowed us into their classroom to see what their Year 7 Numeracy students were learning.  They are continuing their lesson on patterns, from last week.

Students were describing the different patterns they saw, using different words, on cards held up by Mr Box. Students were encouraged to describe the amount of dots using different groupings.

Students get a chance to work closer with their teachers and complete engaging activities designed to practice fundamental skills that they otherwise may not get the chance to work on.

Samantha Cumming 737 - "I enjoy the numeracy period each week because I learn something different to the regular maths period"

Rhys Crossley 739 - "It's fun, we make new friends, there are more teachers to learn more skills from and there are different activities to keep me excited each week"
