Athlete Development Program
Students involved in the Year 9 and 10 Athlete Development Program were lucky enough to have Aerial Skier and Winter Olympic Silver medallist David Morris come out and speak to them about his story of success.
David spoke about the process it took him to get to the successes that he had including all the challenges he had to overcome through his journey.
David kindly gave each student a copy of his autobiography named “Second Nature” to take away and read.
2017 Yarra Cross Country
On Friday 12 May, competitors that finished in the top 10 in their age group at the LHS Cross Country event competed at the Yarra District at Lillydale Lake.
Intermediate Boys Netball
On Monday 15 May, the Yarra Division Boys Netball was played at Pinks Reserve.
The intermediate boys dominated their pool with convincing wins in every game;
Game 1: 26 – 0 against Healesville
Game 2: 24 – 5 against Emerald
Game 3: 24 – 2 against Upper Yarra
They played Upper Yarra again in the gold medal match, winning easily 26-0.
The boys representing this team are all part of the Athlete Development Program or Excellence in Sport Programs. All boys displaying their adaptability from their chosen sports to Netball.

Year 8 Boys Football

Congratulations to the Year 8 Boys football team who won through at the Yarra Division football.
The A Boys team went through without loosing a game, winning every game by a minimum of 13 goals and managing to not let any team score against them. Well done!
Senior Girls Basketball

A Team

Team members - Chloe Anderson, Veronica Burgess, Stacey Riding-Hill, Jess Rousch, Ellie Searle, Taylah Venes and Sydney Jones.
The A Team dominated the day and won all their matches to end up, top of the pool. They played off against Yarra Hills in the Grand-Final, beating them comfortably 53-5. Fantastic efforts girls. Good luck at the next round.

Team members -Tayla Bader, Gabrielle Bithell, Jordyn Clausen, Chelsea Delbrige and Hayley Evans-Cooper.
With only five players in the team, the girls worked hard all day to secure a place in the finals. They played against Lilydale Heights. The girls won this match 17-12 for third place overall. Well done ladies.

Year 7 Girls Netball
Congratulations to the Year 7 Netball Girls on their efforts at the Yarra District competition on Monday 22 May.
Lilydale High School finished first and second in section A and the B team winners in their section. Well done!

Year 10 EIS Basketball
Congratulations to the boys team from the Year 10 EIS Basketball program who beat Box Hill SSC in the final at the Victorian College Championships on Thursday 25 May.
The boys will now play in the State final of the championships on Thursday 27July.
Congratulations also to the girls who played well throughout the day to finish 3rd.
