Reminder to Year 10 students who have not found a Work Experience placement to keep looking.  It is compulsory for all Year 10 Students to participate in Work Experience unless students are 14 years old or have previously discussed it with the Careers Team. Students who are struggling to find a placement need to come and see Ms Carter or Mrs Mascaro. Do NOT leave it any longer.

There are Work Experience Placements at Monash School of Mathematics and at TGF – Fest 2016 at Chisholm Institute. Emails have been sent out to all Year 10 students with details on the placement and how to apply. It is also in this week’s Career Newsletter.

Work Experience/VET & Career Pathways Coordinators

Divisional Badminton

Badminton again proves to be a very popular sport at JMSS with an increasing competition to make our Divisional Team. We took four very competitive teams to this week's Divisional round robin. Our boys' and girls' B teams both finished a very creditable 2nd place. Our boys' and girls' A teams remained undefeated across the day and will now head to the Eastern Metropolitan Championships to be held in Kilsyth next term. It was fantastic to have three JMSS Alumni, Evelyn Xu, Anha Nguyen and Simon Zhong giving up their time to help coach and select the team; all of whom have previously represented JMSS with distinction on the badminton court.
