EISM Year 7 Indoor Cricket & Softball Gala Day
Year 7 Boys - Indoor Cricket
On Wednesday 1st November a group of Year 7 students represented Oakleigh Grammar at the Year 7 EISM Central/Southern Division Boys Indoor Cricket Championships.
It has been many years since Oakleigh Grammar has participated in a cricket competition, and only three of the students play regularly in an out of school. Despite this limited background, great strides were made by all the boys in learning the skills of batting and bowling, and the game rules for indoor cricket, which is a greatly modified version of the traditional form.
The team was led lead well by Rajas Satija as Captain, with great support from Matthew Cormie and George Bitzios.

Although the team did not win a game, the boys were very competitive and showed great improvement during the day as they learnt the tactics and strategies of indoor cricket, and their game skills improved.
