Sub School News

Welcome back to another school year. Students have started school with positivity, enthusiasm and optimism about the year ahead. We welcomed an eager bunch of Year 7 students ready to embark on their high school journey. The transition from primary school to secondary school can sometimes be a daunting and scary experience, but our Welcome Program, delivered at Lyndhurst during the first three days, has made this transition a smooth and easy one. Year 7 students have made new friends, familiarised themselves with the College grounds and teachers and have already started thinking about what opportunities lie in store for their future.

As exciting as starting high school has been for our Year 7 students, Year 12s have started the year with a fantastic wellbeing day.

This was a smooth start to the year, where students were given positive strategies about how to deal with the stresses of their final year of schooling.  Lyndhurst Secondary College has high expectations from all their students and we believe each student can and will achieve success. “Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” – Joshua J. Marine.

This year, Lyndhurst has been split into three sub schools. Our Junior School will look after our Year 7 and 8 students and is led by Jacqui Sampson. Our Middle School will look after our Year 9 and 10 students and is led by Harry Potter, and our Senior School, looking after Year 11 and 12, will be led by Anthony Brannan. Please feel free to speak to any of the relevant Sub School Leaders if you have any concerns regarding your child.
