Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

Year 7-11 Students Return
It has been a great blessing to be able to welcome our Year 7-11 students back full time onto campus for over a week now. We have missed seeing life and hearing noise in the school and the smiles on the faces of our students has been a gift to see.
During this time, due to the presence of COVID-19 in our school community and its prevalence in our local area, we have been taking a cautious approach with masks, some staggered bell times and we have maintained the Year level bubbles in homeroom, yard areas, Café Naz use and also learning areas. The students have been co-operative and we are very grateful for their support.
Our focus in the weeks ahead is really further developing and embedding the routine now there has been some time to adjust. The students’ wellbeing remains a priority as always. If you are aware of any issues impacting your child’s wellbeing or learning that would be good for staff to be aware of, please contact your child’s Pastoral Teacher so we can work as a team for the best outcomes for your child.
With the changing restrictions from the Government we are continuing to monitor our community and trying to do whatever we can to make the best decisions for all.

The Year 9 City Experience Days and the overnight Retreat for the Year 12 class of 2022 are highlight for students. The Awards Assemblies and Mass of Thanksgiving after such a long break from large gatherings are significant events we look forward to and will be looking forward to even more this year. Likewise, the College Production after such a long period of preparation and numerous reschedules is something we extremely excited about.
