School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs)

What is an SBAT? 

An SBAT offers students the option of combining a senior secondary program with part-time employment, school and training. 

The majority of SBATs have training one day a week (for example Wednesday) and placement one day a week (for example Friday).

 

How can I get a SBAT? 

Option 1: Select a company who sign students up to specific industry based SBATs.

    • Education Support
    • Early Childhood Education
    • Fitness
    • Allied Health Assistance
    • Hospitality 
  • Advanced College: 
    • Parks and Gardens (at Somerville Sec.)
  • Integrity: 
    • Business
  • Reece Plumbing:
    • Retail (cert II)
    • Supply Chain Operations (cert II) 

Option 2: Find an employer who is willing to sign you on through a training provider.
