The return to onsite learning continues to operate very smoothly. Thanks to everyone who has made this happen, especially our wonderful students.

Information went home to Prep families today about Prep Transition 2022. The letter details times and dates, what to bring and information regards entry to the school. There will be an information video released on Wednesday, 10th of November (will also be available on Compass and our Website, afterwards). Please respond to the survey included within today's communication.

Remembrance Day poppies are available for students to buy from the school office and they are also available via the RSL Website. (See Community Notices in the newsletter.) Students will have them for sale at the main gate next week – morning and afternoon. Our students will participate in a whole school online commemoration of Remembrance next week.

Our rather large tree issue from last Friday was quickly resolved, but a subsequent roof leak has created a few more challenges in the staff toilet area of the SLC. These will be addressed later next week and we will be back to normal. The Ringtail Possum that was washed out of the tree is in the care of Wildlife Victoria.

The 2022 Parent Payment details are being distributed today via Compass. Please read them carefully as there are some changes from how we have operated previously. These changes reflect the Government’s direction around parent payment and what is now provided by the school and the family. There are a number of agreements and permissions required as part of this process and we must have all sections on Compass answered definitively.

Parent Payments ensure all elements of our learning and related programs can operate across the school and impact positively on student learning and wellbeing.

Stationery ordering for next year.

In 2022 there will be a change to the way we order student stationery. The DET have advised schools that they are no longer able to ‘on-sell’ any items, including stationery, to families and as such parents now have two options by which to provide stationery for their child/ren:

Use our third-party provider, Complete Office Supplies (COS), via their Parent Portal (Further details will be sent to families with the 2022 Parent Payment Arrangements - a list of required items will be provided).
- Ability to select items that you need
- Free delivery to the school for orders over $55
- Packs will be labelled and delivered to the school in readiness for the first day of school.
- Order cut-off 17th December 2021

Purchase items from your choice of retailer (e.g. Officeworks / Big W)

We understand that this is quite a departure to how this process has occurred in the past, but unfortunately this is not under our control. Please contact the school if you have any questions.

Please update the school via email if your family will not be returning to school in 2022. This is important so we can plan accordingly, set up class structures and make the arrangements so we can make a strong start to the new school year.

Next year we are moving into a new learning space with the innovative inclusion of learning devices for students in our year 3-6 classes. The level of family support and student excitement has been very positive.

We remind our future 2022 Grade 3/4 students that the deadline for ordering BYODD is the 26th of November for a guaranteed delivery in January 2022. https://caulfieldjc.orderportal.com.au/

This week our two VIT applicants, Miss Baque and Mr. Romano have completed their application process for full teacher registration. Their presentations were focussed on student learning and reflected the high standards expected of all our staff at CJC. Well done.

Dear Families and Carers,

It has been an absolute delight to have all students back on-site. Their energy and enthusiasm have been incredible and it is a testament to their resilience as young learners.

Our return to school has been extremely successful this week, your support dropping off and picking up your child/ren at the staggered times has contributed to a smooth transition. We have also implemented staggered recess and lunch times to ensure students mixing between cohorts has been limited, logistically this has been interesting, but again, successful.

A reminder that students need to wear their uniform hats during Term 4, they need to be clearly labelled to ensure it finds its rightful owner if misplaced. Could you also ensure that students from Years 3-6 are bringing enough face masks to last them throughout the day, again, the preference would be reusable masks for the reasons outlined previously.

We have recently received our results from the Student Attitudes to School Survey, I will provide more details in the newsletter next week, however, at an initial glance, we have received some positive and purposeful feedback from our Year 4-6 students.
