Welcome back to our students and staff from the McCarthy Library staff. We have a lot of exciting ideas and displays to share with you this term.
Junior English Class Visits
The English reading program for Year 7 and 8 is continuing again this term. Our Quick Reads section is proving very popular with many students and each week new books are arriving in the library so look out for the displays.
McCarthy Library Book Club Thursday, Week B Lunch in the Library
This is held in the Library each fortnight. All students are welcome to come along, bring a book you have enjoyed and get a hot chocolate while we share what we have been reading. We look forward to seeing you there and hopefully you will get some great reading ideas.
School Library Network Meeting 2022
Librarians from across the Diocese came together for a Network Meeting in Gunnedah last week. It was two days of sharing and reflection on how we can better meet the needs of our individual student populations and upskilling about services available to us.
Library Hours
We are open every day from 8:00am, during both breaks and on Tuesdays and Wednesday until 5:00pm for Study Club.
The library is increasingly popular during recess and lunch times with students playing games, books, homework, relaxing and chatting.
