Stage 6 News

End of Year 11 reports have been released to students and parents via COMPASS. Year 11 Parent/Teacher Conferences will occur next Tuesday evening 25 October in the Rosary Centre. Interviews will commence at 3:30pm. Bookings are made via the COMPASS portal under the Conferences function. During these interviews families may like to discuss with teachers the next steps in learning as students progress into Year 12 and if any changes to pattern of study are possible.

Year 12 HSC Examinations have started well. Some Year 12 teachers have been engaged by NESA to mark written examinations across many subjects this year. This marking process starts this week and finishes after the examination period. Due to this commitment with NESA, several teachers will not be available for the Parent Teacher conferences but have communicated possible alternate arrangements with their class.

Stage 5 News

A very small number of students in Year 10 are having conversations with Mrs Sparke to finalise their pattern of study for Stage 6.

Students in Years 8 and 9 were recently given access to MCC Curriculum Website which outlined the options for Stage 5 Electives in 2023. Students completed choices via webform and were asked to submit by Friday 21 October. These choices will then inform the building of the 2023 timetable.

PAT Assessments

During Week 5 all students in Years 7-10 will undertake PAT assessments in Reading and Numeracy. These assessments inform the instructional cycles and teaching programs for Term 4 and the following year. Students will need their charged Chromebook for these assessments.

Forward Notice

NAPLAN 2023 will be held in Term 1 commencing on 15 March.
