The Principal's Pen
The end of the year is rapidly approaching and with that comes lots of assessments, activities and celebrations. We recently had a very emotional send off for the Year 12s and their WACE exams start this week. There are still excursions, camps and presentation evenings being held over coming weeks, so watch out for notifications about those. The College calendar is updated in this newsletter, but check for details in the calendar on the College app.
Please be aware that COVID-19 is resurfacing in our College community. There is no longer a mandatory isolation period, but our approach hasn’t changed - students stay home if they are unwell, particularly if they are showing symptoms in the case of COVID-19.
An additional blessing this term has been welcoming new the students who have been joining us. We had several families coming into our community last month and their children have been able to get into their classes very smoothly. Thank you to everyone who has made them feel so welcome.
As we look to 2023, we are preparing for an exciting time with a number of new staff joining the team and even more new families coming to Cornerstone next year. I’ll be able to share details about staffing once things are confirmed, but it’s great to see the community growing!
And finally, please remember to advise Administration if you are leaving the College at the end of the year. It is important for our planning, especially now that we are reaching the stage of waiting lists for some year groups. There is a ten-week notice period to allow for those processes.
