Intensive English Language Orientation Program

At Woodville Gardens School we are known for our respect and celebration of cultural diversity. In recognition of this we have been asked to implement an Orientation Program to students who are living in short-term accommodation in nearby Regency Green, a former aged care facility in Regency Park. AMES has secured this property as a partial solution to Adelaide’s housing shortage. Newly arrived families who are waiting for longer housing leases will be able to send their children to the Orientation Program before they transition to the IELP closest to their long-term accommodation, once found.

The bespoke program being developed at Woodville Gardens School will allow children to enter schooling very soon after arrival and support their transition to Australian education.

Demand for the program and length of stay of new arrival students in short-term accommodation (STA)  will be reviewed to inform the continuation of the program into 2023. Further updates will be provided. For now, please see the following media report. Sala School Awards

We are proud to announce that our school, Woodville Gardens B-6, was chosen as the first place winner  of The Credit Union SALA school art awards for our exhibition titled, "Art on Show, years 1-6, show casing a diverse range of art techniques and skills.

We have been awarded $2500 to assist us with a future project.

We would like to say a big thank you to our community who came to view the exhibition at the Armada Arndale shopping centre.

This is what the judges had to say:

"The diverse and skilful outcomes in Art on Show at Armada Arndale were impressive- even when responding to common subject matter there was such variety and individuality in how students responded.

Congratulations on a well-received exhibition and great use of a local space."
