Principal's Report

with Simone Roy

This week has seen the Year 12 students start to prepare for the end of their schooling. Some decoration of the corridors has started and while this fun is to be enjoyed by all students, only Year 12s are to be involved in this. We also ask that other students don’t remove the decorations. Next Wednesday is the last official school day for the Year 12s and they will hold their End of School celebrations on the soccer oval. Again, only Year 12 students can participate, however other students can watch from a distance. All students who complete Year 12 will eventually be able to participate in their own celebration time when they have done all the hard work in the years preceding.

CONFERENCES:

Conferences were held on Tuesday after school with many parents attending. If you missed out on this evening, but would like to discuss the progress of your child with their teachers, please don’t hesitate to call or email to organise another time.

COVID UPDATE:

COVID rules have changed again. Isolation is no longer a requirement; however, it is strongly recommended and students who test positive to COVID are asked to not attend school until their symptoms have subsided. Like any illness, it is better to not share it with everyone, but to stay home to recover.

Masks and hand hygiene are still great ways to prevent the spread of any illness and will continue to be encouraged.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF THE ANNUAL REPORT TO THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY

The school council suggested that an easier way for families to access the information in the Annual Report was to do an Executive Summary which highlights the key points. This summary can be found on the school website, alongside the Annual Report, and as it was such a good idea, will continue each year from now on.
