Rockband Workshop & Showcase Evening

Doncaster Secondary College is excited to form a partnership with Templestowe College to build a rock program. On Thursday 20th October, students from Templestowe College will visit our school to participate in writing and rehearsal workshops during the school day and then perform a rock showcase concert in the evening at our Performance Centre. A guest rock musician will be mentoring the students along with teachers from both colleges.

All family and friends are invited to attend the evening concert. The concert will begin at 7pm and conclude around 9pm. Ticket prices will be $15 per person and can be purchased through the link below.

Upgrade to Toilet Block

DSC has been fortunate to receive a grant from the Education department to upgrade student toilet blocks. This has given us the opportunity to re-model these areas and create a safe space for all students. The new design will be brighter, lighter and discourage any students loitering in the toilets blocks. Once these works are complete students will enjoy modern comfortable amenities in a safe environment.

All going well building works will be complete by the end of November.

Temporary relocation of General Administration

A dramatic day last Friday saw the General Office building damaged by floods! Consequently, the General Office building will be temporary closed whilst all carpet is replaced. In the meantime, all onsite visitors will need to access the College via W-Block on Ibis Street. Phone contact remains unchanged, 9848 4677, or email doncaster.sc@education.vic.gov.au.

Monday Breakfast Club

Due to popular demand (and a request from students) we will now have Breakfast Club every Monday, as well as Fridays, here at Doncaster SC! Keep an eye out for us around the school on Mondays over the coming weeks, and find us in the Library on Fridays.

Breakfast Club runs from 8.15am - 9am, Monday & Fridays.

Mental Health Month

October is Mental Health Month. We are running several events around the College, including today's Headspace Day which has been promoted to our students via MS Teams. Students will also receive a weekly post about ways to support their mental health and wellbeing and where to access support.

The Breakfast program will rotate around the school this month, each Monday, aiming to maintain the awareness of Mental Health month and where students can seek support and further information.

Hannah from our Wellbeing team has created infographics for parents to give tips on how to talk about mental health with their teenage children.
