Spirit Week

At the conclusion of the academic year 2022, Evans High School is moving to the ‘3x3’ model of curriculum delivery for Stage 6 students. This has resulted in the academic year coming to a close at the end of Week 4 in Term 4 rather than the traditional time of the conclusion of Term 4.

To acknowledge the achievement of our students, and celebrate their hard work and dedication. The school community has decided that moving forward, Week 5 of Term 4 will now be known as ‘Evans High Spirit Week’.

Spirit Week is a departure from the traditional model of curriculum delivery. It will be an exciting week of excursions, team building activities, workshops, external providers and wellbeing activities delivered in a more relaxed setting. The week is also capped off by a large picnic day held on school grounds where students will have the opportunity to interact with their peers and teachers in a more social setting.

Whilst all of this sounds fun, at the same time, Spirit Week will be a valuable tool for the school to allow us time away from curriculum to complete all student compliance obligations, build relationships between staff and students, and finally to tangibly acknowledge all of the hard work our students complete during the school year.

There is no cost for parents/carers attached to Spirit Week. However, there will be some permission forms that you will need to complete so that your child/ward can participate in all of the activities. Keep an eye out for any notes that are sent home, and monitor the school social media channels for any updates.

This is a truly exciting time at Evans High School, and is the first time that something of this nature has happened in our setting. We look forward to taking our students on this adventure with us!
