After a two-year hiatus, the 8th annual State Rose & Garden Show will make a triumphant return to Werribee Park – bringing with it vibrant new floral features and a stellar line-up of leading gardening personalities.
Taking place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November, the event will see the Victoria State Rose Garden transform into a kaleidoscope of colour as the 5000 roses are at their blooming best and as the manicured lawns play host to numerous gardening exhibits, plant stalls, food trucks, and live music – making it a must-see event for visitors of all ages.
Features of the 2022 event include:
- Hitting the stage will be an impressive line-up of gardening experts including Melissa King from ‘Better Homes & Gardens’, the charismatic Vasili Kanidiadis of ‘Vasili’s Garden’, horticulturist Craig Castree and florist and Dish the Dirt Podcaster Rebecca Noble.
- A hands-on, free workshop space featuring a Little Sprouts Program with nature play for kids, posy making workshops hosted by Petal Pop, a workshop by Holly’s Backyard Bees, plus more.
- Stunning floral installations, created by a selection of Melbourne’s most talented florists, including Rebecca Noble’s LLB Florals and XX FLOS by Kayla Moon.
- The ‘All Green Children’s Garden’ – a new family friendly space, featuring sensory gardens and sandpits.
- Free guided tours of the Victoria State Rose Garden hosted by the knowledgeable garden supporters.
Presented by Wyndham City Council, the show is free for all ages. A gold coin donation is encouraged to assist the Victorian State Rose Garden supporters with their upkeep of the garden.
Wyndham City will abide by any current COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines as set by the State Government of Victoria and it is requested that all attendees do the same.
