Mega Monthly Maths Quiz - October 2018

October is almost over, so don’t waste anytime and find a solution to these Mega problems.

Preps/Juniors:

Plan your Perfect Birthday Party.  Where would you have it, what would you eat, who would you invite, what games would you play and what presents would you like?

You can write a little story about the birthday party (it can be made up) or you can draw a picture of what’s going on at your Perfect Birthday Party!

Middle/Seniors:

Miss Gill is looking to buy a new house.  She has a few conditions.

The house must:

Have at least 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms

Be located in a suburb of Melbourne with a postcode that is an even number (it can’t be in Thornbury - 3071 is an odd number)

Have an odd numbered address (e.g. 2 Mansfield St is no good!)

Be priced between $800 000 - $2 million

Please provide 3 options for Miss Gill to look at - she is very fussy!!

You can email me (and Miss Gill) the details, or cut and paste the houses and send them in on a Google Doc.

Premier's Reading Challenge

This year 101 children from all year levels completed the Premier's Reading Challenge at St Mary's.  I am so proud of all the children who participated!  Today each child received a certificate to recognise their achievement. The PRC not only encourages reading, but also exposes children to good quality literature.  The reading lists  provide great ideas for age appropriate books for children to read.  

A huge thank you to Cheryl Griffin for entering all the books in to the system.
