PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Thank you!
Thank you for the wonderful family support we have seen over the last week. Our Swimming Carnival was a great night for our students and their families. Likewise, the number of parents at our K-6 Parent Information Evening last night demonstrated the commitment our families have to their children’s education. We look forward to this continued support. Please remember that communication between home and school is vital for your child’s progress. We are just a phone call or a visit away. There will be opportunities for more social events and parent teacher interviews later this term including our Annual Catholic Schools Week Picnic Lunch.
Annual Improvement Plan
Our staff have been working towards completing our 2017 Annual Improvement Plan where we set goals and targets for the year. This year our focus will be on a number of areas including improving student’s religious knowledge, improving literacy and numeracy outcomes, beginning lesson observations for teaching staff, working with Dr Lyn Sharratt as part of the CSO Collaborative Inquiry Initiative and the wellbeing of students and staff. The school executive will be attending a meeting in Glen Innes this week to present our plan to the CSO. I will publish more of this plan in the coming weeks.
Medical Information
Please remember for medication to be given to students at school a written note with the dosage and medication must be given. We have notes in the Front Office for this purpose. Medication must come in its original packaging.
Letters will be sent home to all children who have a medical condition. We take the health and wellbeing of our students very seriously, please endeavour to complete the required forms and return to school as soon as possible. Please contact Michelle in the Front Office or myself if you have any questions.
