Loren Thorpe - Stage 3
Thank you for bringing quiet, calm and compassion to your classroom. The students in your care have been rewarded. Every blessing as you prepare to be a mum.
Emily Frahn - Stage 2
An effortless builder of relationships, a smile that never disappears regardless of the situation, a deep thinker and certainly a ‘natural’ in the classroom. Emily, thank you for your collegiality, wisdom and teamwork. Every blessing as you feed the hunger to explore and travel.

Lutheran Education Australia SERVICE AWARD
Helane Jaensch
For services to Lutheran schooling 1983 - 2019
The Lutheran Church of Australia thankfully acknowledges the faithful and committed service of Helane Jaensch to Lutheran education spanning a period of 36 years.
Helane commenced her service in Lutheran Schools in 1983 where she served as a year three teacher at Good Shepherd Lutheran School Para Vista. Helane resigned from her teaching position in June 1985 to have her family.
In the years between 1985 and 2000 Helane served as a regular relief teacher, always ready for those early morning calls, responding whenever she could. Helane also completed a number of contracts, working some part of each year through out this time. Helane also served with dedication and passion on the school council at Good Shepherd for 9 years.
In 2000, Helane returned to Good Shepherd in a part time capacity where the majority of this time she provided Visual Art lessons across the school. Her passion and drive for this area of the curriculum never waned. Helane inspired many students over the years with her love of the Arts.
Both methodical and hardworking, Helane kept an eagle eye on art room supplies, their storage and state of repair. Organising and creating art displays is time-consuming and arduous, yet Helane always rose to the challenge, and over the years, hundreds of students, staff and visitors have seen the results of her meticulous dedication.
Helane will be remembered for her kindness to people in need; she was always available with a listening ear and a bunch of flowers.
Helane worshiped regularly at Good Shepherd, contributing to both the school and church community in the areas of music and floral art.
Helane’s faithful and conscientious service to her Lord and the Lutheran Church of Australia, through her service in Lutheran schools, has been outstanding and is humbly recognised through this Award.
