Senior Years

Senior Solo Night

On Tuesday 7 May, Years 11 and 12 Music students performed in the first Senior Solo Night of the year, featuring students on instruments such as saxophone, vocals, bass guitar, guitar, piano and drums.

The concert was held in the Middle Years performance space, with light refreshments provided by the school.

Students were graded on performance standards which included understanding of music/repertoire, knowledge of style and level of technique, with styles ranging from classical to hard rock to jazz.

Overall, it was an entertaining night providing students with a valuable opportunity to develop their performance skills, and to know what to expect for other performances as the year goes on.

If you missed this concert, our next one will happen early in Term 3 on Thursday 1 August and we’d love to see you there!

Enterprise Week

Recently, our Year 11 Business Innovation students took part in Enterprise Week, effectively running their own business.

Using Design Thinking processes, students created products for their target market, Endeavour College (hungry) students. Three teams with creative names came up with tasty items aimed to resonate with their audience. The team from 'Sweet Meat' sold juicy pulled pork sliders while 'Noodle House' warmed everybody up with hot noodles. 'Rice Rice Baby' drew customers in with their endless instrumental tunes and were selling fried rice.

Enterprise Week is an important opportunity for students to put their theory into practice, from marketing to finance, each group is responsible for creating a genuine authentic business. All students worked exceptionally hard, in and out of school hours, to run their stalls at lunchtime, and I thank them for their generous time.

The Business Innovation class give a big thank you to all of the Endeavour Community, staff, students and also their parents, who all contributed to us running a successful week. We are happily donating half of our profits to Habitat for Humanity.
