The 'Flipside'

On Wednesday 8 May, Years 7 and 8 gathered in the Endeavour Centre to view a stage production  called ‘The Flipside’. The show was by Brainstorm Productions and it explored cyber safety and cyber bullying in schools. The production followed a teenager named Jack who received a mysterious email threatening him. With his friend, Ella, they set off to find the culprit and discover that whatever you do online can always come back up again. It was an amazing experience and we thank Brainstorm Productions for coming to our school.

Poetry in Action! Words that Changed the World

On Thursday 16 May, Year 9 students and many of our Year 10 students were treated to a special guest performance by Sydney-based theatre company, Poetry in Action. The young and vibrant cast performed a play titled ‘Words that Changed the World’, a compilation of the most influential public speeches of all time, exploring the power and beauty of the words that have inspired and moved us to compassion, anger, acts of bravery and even revolution. Poetry in Action are dedicated to bringing poetry and rhetoric to life through performance, and they certainly did just that; their performance was dynamic, accessible, entertaining and educative. Our students were a fantastic audience on the day.
