WHAT A TERM !!

Excursion - Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix - Albert Park Circuit

Last Thursday some of our Year 11 and 12 students studying VET Engineering or undertaking a School Based Apprenticeship in Automotive went to check out the Grand Prix at Albert Park circuit. There was a lot of educational opportunities to investigate - from careers in the industry, to car design, to STEM activities. It was also great to watch some of the racing from the V8 Supercars and for the Porsche Carrera Cup. It was a brilliantly sunny (and noisy) day.

Year 10 Work Experience Extension

Well…. the due date has come and gone for students to get their work experience arrangement forms in. It is disappointing to note that not all students lined up a place to undertake this opportunity. It has been decided to allow these students to use the holiday period to find a worthwhile placement. PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS GETS ORGANISED OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS!

I have attached another copy of the Arrangement form should you need

Please bring Work Experience Arrangement forms to the Joseph Centre by Friday 28 April 2023.

Monash Mentor Program Induction

Our Year 11 and 12 Monash Mentees finally got to meet their Monash Mentors on Tuesday. This induction was held at Naz and introduced the program to the 20 students who have elected to take part in the program. I am looking forward to seeing these relationships develop and our students’ confidence blossom. We cannot underestimate the power of having mentors in our lives. Whether you have one or are one – it is a gift to be or to have an effect on another. We all have a lot to learn as we navigate our way through life and it doesn’t stop when we leave high school behind.

I wish all our mentors a positive experience this year.
