Lots of Socks Day

Celebrating World Down Syndrome Day

Celebrating with Lots of Socks!

Today the school celebrated World Down Syndrome Day by hosting Lots of Socks Day.

It was lovely to see students embrace this day, with ankle to knee high socks, with a rainbow of colours and patterns on display. Across the day, students participated in activities focusing on our uniqueness and our similarities.

The idea behind the ‘Lots of Socks’ initiative is acceptance of all our differences, and what makes us unique as an individual. Socks come in all shapes, sizes, and designs, just like each of us! At FPS we acknowledge the day as a step towards empowering people around the world to advocate for full inclusion in society for people with Down syndrome.
