Junior School Council

The Junior School Council (JSC) is a group of Years 3 to 6 students representing each class who share and consider ideas to better our school, local and global communities. The JSC consists of two Captains and two Vice Captains from each Year 3 to 6 class, elected by their class. Being chosen as a JSC Captain or Vice Captain is an honour. The two JSC Captains represent their class for the whole year, and the two JSC Vice Captains represent their class for one semester. It is the role of a Councillor to consider all of their class member's needs and suggestions and be the voice for them. A Junior School Councillor represents their class by attending the regular meetings held at lunch time, depending on the school's needs at the time.

Congratulations to the following students who have been elected to be on the JSC in Semester 1:

Dance Concert Anticipation

It is lovely to have Jack and Amy come into our school and teach us the routines for our upcoming Dance Concert. Every student is having so much fun! We are going to interview some students and talk about the dance program going on.

“It’s fun and it’s something to do instead of work.”   Dabi, 5L
“It was enjoyable and it’s really funny while doing it.”   Santhosh, 5RL
“I liked the moves and it was a creative dance.”   Caitlin, 5R

Janice and I also enjoyed it as it’s very fun and funny to do. It’s amazing how we get to do a Dance Concert. In 2020 we were also going to have a concert with dance instructor Georgia but it was cancelled because of COVID.

Everyone, not just the grade fives, are really excited. Thank you Jack and Amy.

National Ride2School Day

We are excited to be celebrating National Ride2School Day next Friday, 24 March.

National Ride2School Day is the perfect opportunity to establish new healthy habits and promote the many benefits of active travel.

Next Friday we encourage all students and their families to leave the car at home and give riding, walking, scooting or skating to school a go.

Ride2School Day is a practical way schools can engage with the Active schools initiative and support Victorian students to gain the skills, confidence and motivation to be active in life.
