Congratulations

Congratulations to the following staff who have been appointed new positions at PLSC.

David Husk - Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning

Hi, I'm David Husk the Assistant Principal for Teaching Learning.  I am very excited to have joined the amazing team at Peter Lalor Secondary College.  I bring a broad experience of teaching across Primary and Secondary school settings and a holistic view of what structures and process work best for our students as they pathway out of school into the world of work.  Having worked for most of my life outside of 'educational settings', I bring a wealth of other vocational experiences to the PLSC team.

A dedicated family man of four children, and now nine grandchildren, I understand the complexities and challenges as a parent.  I have a genuine interest in helping young people achieve success and am passionate around offering opportunities that ultimately provide young people an element of hope as they develop their personal and work-related skills that will enable them to become productive contributing members of their communities.

I look forward to working alongside the members of our school community to ensure that all our families feel that their loved ones are being provided every opportunity to succeed as they choose thier individual pathway.  It is a privilege to be a part of the PLSC team.

Paul Meager - Assistant Principal for Student Engagement and Wellbeing

Hello everyone!

I am really excited to be given the opportunity to lead the Peter Lalor Secondary College community into the future. I have been working in student engagement and wellbeing roles for over 15 years at a variety of schools and thoroughly enjoy supporting students and their families to achieve positive outcomes. My time at PLSC has re-ignited this passion of supporting our students to become successful members of the community.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family (wife and two daughters) and creating experiences that allow my girls the opportunity to experience and learn about the world around us. I also enjoy all types of sports, especially basketball and cricket, which I played a lot back in my younger, more agile days!

As an educator, I have two strong beliefs:

1. Schools must provide a safe and consistent environment that allows students the opportunity to learn and grow. These opportunities, more often than not, extend beyond the classroom.

2. Positive student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand, students will struggle if both are not addressed.

I am honoured to be a part of the PLSC community and look forward to working with everyone.

Natalie Pace - Year 11 Leader

My name is Natalie Pace, I have been welcomed into the year 11 space and I have been fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to be the year 11 leader. I teach Personal Development Skills (PDS) and Numeracy to the year 11’s and VET Sport and Recreation on a Wednesday.

I have 4 years of teaching experience, where I have previously been a year 11 and year 12 assistant leader. I hold a Master of Education which I completed at ACU.

I look forward to working with the students and staff at Peter Lalor Secondary College.

Sian Gregory - Year 12 VCE Vocational Major Teacher

Hi I’m Sian (pronounced Sharn) and this year I’m teaching Literacy and Work Related Skills (WRS) at Peter Lalor Secondary College.

I’ve been an educator for about 8 years now, mostly doing casual relief work. Usually, the subjects I teach run more towards the creative end, so teaching Literacy is a bit of an adventure for me.

I look forward to working with everyone this year.
