Foundation (Prep)

Hi everyone,

I have now introduced all 26 sounds of the alphabet. We will continue to practise saying/writing these so that we can recall them automatically. Please see the updated list with this week's sounds:

Over the past 3 weeks we have made 3 class books. One called Windy Day, which is based on a book we have read in class. It involves innovating on the text to develop an awareness of repetition and rhyme when reading. Each student thought of something of the King's that could blow away in the wind.

Our second book, Where is Prep C? had a Maths focus. The students have been thinking about words to describe where something, or someone, is located (using positional language). 

Finally our third book, What is under the bed? was a lift-the-flap book. After brainstorming as many things that we could think of that started with the letter Aa, we drew different pictures representing our ideas under the beds we made.

• Week 9 - Teacher planning week  (All specialist classes will be on one day. The Prep-2 team will be planning on Tuesday, March 28)
