Book Week Photos:

Book Week was an awesome experience for students and staff alike. We loved the timetabled reading to different classes at lunchtime in the library and to different classes in the afternoons.

Jessie Eyre and Julie Grant were the driving force behind the week, and thanks to their efforts, enthusiasm, imagination and encouragement, it was brilliant.

Big thanks go out to all those parents who helped their children dress up as book characters for our big parade on Friday - some outstanding costumes!

During Book Week, we were lucky to have author David Riley come in to talk with our Middle and Senior School students. David is a high school teacher who has taught English and Drama in South Auckland. In the past 11 years, he has written 60 books focusing on inspirational New Zealanders and stories from the Pacific. He spoke about the benefits of reading and how it can change your life. Our students and staff were very inspired by his books and words and really enjoyed hosting him on Tuesday.
