Math Master of the Week

Jessica Knight

Jessica is a hardworking student and has shown huge growth in Maths since the beginning of the year. She is a Year 7 student who when asked, said her favourite thing about Maths is she finds she can concentrate on one thing at time and thinks it is fun. Jessica was nominated by her teacher, who said “she is working exceptionally hard and really challenging herself".  Jessica has shown great commitment to her Maths, achieving an average of 250% growth and 133% effort on Maths Pathways.

Mathematical reasoning is the process of using logical thinking to solve problems, make connections and draw conclusions in mathematics. It is an important skill in many areas. A problem-solving activity you can try at home.
