Upcoming Parent Teacher Interviews Years 10-12

Today,  Tuesday, March 7 we are delighted to welcome parents back on Campus for Face to Face Parent Teacher Interviews for students in Years 10-12. If you miss this opportunity you are encouraged to email relevant teachers.

Parent Teacher Interviews for students in Years 7-9 will be held early in Term 2 on Tuesday, May 2.

NAPLAN Information

As advertised in the Week 4 newsletter, NAPLAN will take place from Wednesday March 15th (Week 7).

At Calrossy, the schedule of tests for Secondary and eCalrossy students will be as follows:

On these days, secondary students should note the following important information:

• Ensure your MacBook is brought to school fully charged and operational each testing day. See IT Support if you are having any issues.
• Bring a pair of wired headphones to use for each test. Wireless headphones tend to have issues maintaining their connection in the crowded examination room. Some of the tests require these - for example reading out words that then must be spelled by the student.
• Bring a pen or pencil and eraser for planning or working out. All answers for marking are entered into the online test, but paper is provided for rough working.

Students and parents are encouraged to access the public demonstration site(https://www.nap.edu.au/online-assessment/public-demonstration-site) to familiarise themselves with NAPLAN and the types of questions and tools available. Excessive preparation for NAPLAN is not required nor recommended.
