All the fun from Athletics day

Friday 10 March saw our first ever whole school Athletics Carnival. Coburg Athletics track was buzzing with excitement! It was a fantastic to see so many students dressed in their house colours, embracing the team spirit and cheering on friends and classmates. The day was enjoyed by students competing in a wide array of track and field events and the ever popular novelty events.

One of  the highlights of the day would have to have been the staff vs student relay. With the students coming out victors in my eyes after a very dodgy change over on the last station which saw 2 staff members fumbling with the baton and ended up with both of them running the last leg, competing with each other to cross the line.

A big thank you to all staff, Sports Captains, Peer Support and other students helpers in facilitating the day, and to the VCE VM class who kept the sausages turning on the barbecue. A full team effort and another big success for Northcote.
