Persistence and Feedback in B4

Over the past 3 weeks, B4 has been investigating persistence and how to give specific feedback. We viewed a YouTube clip called 'Austin's Butterfly', which asks Austin to continue drafting a picture of a butterfly. After four drafts he is able to produce a final picture, which shows a dramatic improvement over his original.

In B4, we tried this exact same exercise. Each student produced a first draft before receiving feedback from their peers. Students took this feedback and used it to draw a second draft. This continued until we had a fourth and final drawing. There was an amazing improvement from all students and this served as a great building exercise for our classroom!
