St Joseph's Primary School End of Year Mass
We were so very fortunate that students and staff could join together and celebrate the many achievements of 2021 at Mass on Friday. Fr Vince, in his homily, spoke of the seed that is planted that is nourished through our interactions at home, school and out in the community. He encouraged everyone to be the very best version of themselves through prayer and always thinking of others - which is so evident in our students and staff at St Joseph's Primary School. We hope you enjoy the following youtube clip, highlighting a very special end of year Mass.
Blessing & Installation of the Cross
A big thank you to Mr John Kerklaan (local parishioner and owner of "Timber Alive" Quirindi) who designed and constructed these beautiful crosses to complement our Prayer spaces. We are so grateful to have these pieces of art in our school for everyone to reflect upon and enjoy.
Third Sunday in Advent
The Third Sunday in Advent is known as Gaudete Sunday. The term Gaudete refers to the first word of the Entrance Antiphon, "Rejoice." Rose vestments are worn to emphasise our joy that Christmas is near, and we also light the rose candle on our Advent wreath.

Prayer Reflection
The Fourth Sunday in Advent - PEACE
In Luke's Gospel the Holy Spirit helps reveal Jesus' identity as God to those who believe. Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit and sings Mary's praise because she bears the Lord. We sing these words of praise to Mary in the Hail Mary. Even John the Baptist, the unborn child in Elizabeth's womb, is said to recognize the presence of the Lord and leaps for joy.
Christmas Blessing
May God bless you and your loved ones this Christmas Season. Thank you for your continued support of the St Joseph's School community.
Wishing you all a safe & happy holidays.
