The 5th P is Purpose

The lessons learnt throughout 2020 and 2021 have been enormous.  We have grown as individuals, groups, families, staff and communities.  What grounded us during this time was the determination to make a difference, to thrive (and survive) and to ensure that everything we do is for a reason - a Purpose.  As such, we have strengthened our school moral purpose with a 5th P,  with the statement 'I am here'.  Why are you here?  What is your role?  What contributions are you going to make?  How will you stay 'present' and make a difference to your path?  We encourage all families to discuss the concept of Purpose as we will be living and breathing this as a school and community.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher conferences will be held in Week 5 on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd March. Teachers will be able to discuss your child's results with recent testing in the areas of Mathematics and English and learning plans for moving forward.  These meetings will be of 10 minute duration and held onsite.  If you wish this meeting to be held online please email your classroom teacher after you have booked your time.

All visitors to these onsite meetings will need to be aware of the Vital COVID safe steps outlined below.

All times will be booked through Compass with the instructions attached.

Vital COVID safe steps

As schools open up for volunteers and parents:

Schools must advise visitors and volunteers they must adhere to COVIDSafe requirements: physical distancing, face mask requirements, cough etiquette, and good hand hygiene.

Visitors to schools aged 8 and above MUST wear a face mask in all indoor spaces, unless a lawful exception applies.

Visitors and volunteers performing work on school sites (both inside and outdoors) are required to have received three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine by 25 February 2022 if they became fully vaccinated on or before 25 October 2021. For those that became fully vaccinated after 25 October 2021, the deadline is 15 March 2022, or have a valid medical exception.

Schools must collect, record and hold vaccination information for all visitors and volunteers working on school sites. Visitors and volunteers will be required to update their vaccination status at the office.

Policy updates

The following policies were updated in Term 4, 2021, and require parent attention:

CSPS are calling out for volunteers to run the breakfast club  on Thursday and Friday mornings from 8.30 to 8.50 am.  The volunteers would be required to set up, serve and clean up the breakfast club in the gallery space.
