Suspending Device Updates During School Hours
To enhance connectivity to the internet we ask that all users change active hours on their devices to ensure automatic updates do not occur during School hours.
To change these settings on a PC device please complete the following;
Students are asked to ensure they are turning on their devices outside of school hours (e.g after 4pm), when connected a Wi-Fi source to ensure updates are installed. If you have any additional questions please contact IT Support for assistance.
It is suggested Mac users alter system preferences to change automatic downloading of updates, however maintain update checks.
Onsite Device Support
Students new to Northcote High School or who are experiencing device issues, including connectivity and syncing concerns, are encouraged to see IT Support at the following times to gain School Wi-Fi Access:
Before School 8:30 – 8:45am : During Lunch or Recess : Afterschool 3:15 – 3:30pm
